I hate it that I am called "staff" but there does not seem to be a way to unstaff myself.

To cpad: The following link casts some light on HP's policy re: "gaming the system." Looks like Ima T Roll got around it for a while. gigaom.com/2010/04/29/huffington-post-does-a-foursquare-offers-readers-badges-for-behavior/#comment-1026441 [archived news] Update: Huffington Post spokesman Mario Ruiz said in an email that “in the interest of preventing users from gaming the system at the expense of others, we’re not releasing the Networker or Superuser formulas. We do, however, disclose the formula for our Moderator badge. We also feature all user stats prominently so community members know which kinds of behavior helped them earn badges.” Mario Ruiz might know something about his.

How'd you get all those stars? Just my sparkling personality? Nah. I presume that if you start a board, and are then by definition, the administrator, they give you stars. I think I will sign up as a regular member as ITypeBadly.

Very funny! It does not appear that there is a way to just reply. Does anybody else see how to do it?

I see that under everybody else's name there are buttons saying "exalt" or "smite"
And a running tab, meaning what, I do not know, called Karma.

This feels great. I admit that after seeing the 'members' page I hadn't done too well at guessing the genders of people. Let's just say that I wasn't perfect. Which just shows that...
'One never knows, do one?'
Thanks ponderingmuch.

Wow! A hitt and a miss! It gets better all the time.
Did you get to see my Lena Horne avatar? That's probably confusing a few people right now. I haven't decided yet what to replace that with. And I did Rosa Parks before that. Maybe I better do Arnold Schwartzenegger (sp) next. It's not what you're thinking.
However, I did get a call today from Meg Whitman, the former Ebay founder now running for Governor. I'm going to transcribe that message and post it here. It sounded as if she has Arizona in mind as a political homeland if the California thing doesn't work out. It was scary.

I may show up with the face of Javier Bardem on Huffpo, see what kinds of reactions I get.
I think I met all of you when I had my actual pic up.
Maybe not.

Our new friend "heyguysitsme" is moving up in the world. I looked at the twitter account attached to the profile. Bob Loblaw. I'm telling you, somebody's trying to kill me.

Arrested Development is hysterical - I watch it over and over again. Bob Loblaw is a good use of Scot Baio who is otherwise a right wing tool.

Say, hitt, that's how unconnected I am. Didn't even know where she got the name. I just saw "Robert Loblaw" and it cracked me up. Made me think of that old Gershwin tune.

I had to google to know for sure that it was from Arrested Development. Now who is "she" in this case? I knew it was you because bdaved showed up on the posts from heyguys on my "Friends Activity" on HuffPo, plus bazoodyhead. Bazookyhead? Whatever the term, it is cool! I do hope I am not stealing your intellectual property ...
